Ashesi President Patrick Awuah spoke on the role of AI in economic transformation, at a conference jointly organised by Ghana's Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The conversation was part of a series of activities around a visit by the Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalania Georgieva, who also joined the panel.
Other speakers on the panel were Mohammed Amin Adam, Minister for Finance Of Ghana; Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister For Communications & Digitalisation Of Ghana; and Jason Hickey, Head of the Google AI Research Centre in Ghana.
